Bavaria Holland Beer, Warsteiner as well as Fosters issues

Well. I just want to drop a few lines about a couple of things I encountered since I arrived here. They’re all related to the subject ‘beer’ and there are three of them in total. Hence, don’t be confused if there are only two photos! ;)

First of all: What do you reckon, I thought when I came past the following sign?! Yes, have a closer look first!

Bavaria Holland Beer! This alcoholic beverage is indeed made in Europe, not in Bavaria but in Holland where it is the second largest domestic beer. Bavaria is in fact a state in the south of Germany. Its capital city is Munich.

Has it to do with the fact, that the Netherlands (actually Holland) had been ruled by Bavaria some 650+ years ago? I don’t know?! Thus: Weird!?

Secondly: I didn’t recognize it at first. BUT: The Lonely Planet travel guide of Dublin has a very distinct selection of a variety of bar taps on its cover. Yeah! And the first prominent one is (second one from the left)…

WARSTEINER! Well, a German beer brand. How is that!?

Third: I recently went into a pub/bar that claims to be an Australian bar. Its interior design might be something to address, however it can be neglected at this point. Actually, the bizarre thing was that the only Australian beer they use to serve is Fosters. FOSTERS!!!

Foster’s is rarely promoted in Australia and Lager does not enjoy widespread success there as well. Must have a good marketing then… Cheers! ;)
